My Good Friend,
I know this is the month for American Thanksgiving, and I will on the 23rd do so formally with family. But now my mind, like many, is elsewhere, for like much of the world I wait the pending hard reckoning that the IDF (Israeli Defense Force), will bring upon hamas. And by the time you get this letter it will surely be in force. The wanton, wholesale, and appalling barbarity brought upon the utterly innocent requires a reckoning. What is more barbaric than beheading babies in cribs? I was not really surprised at the depravity of hamas. One should be aware of the depths to which these terrorists can sink. And the Jews, of all people, know the depths of such evil; beginning with a long forgotten Pharaoh to Haman (see Esther 3:7-15), from Hitler to now hamas and hezbollah, the demonic desire is the same.
It is why the promise of the state of Israel “Never Again” was made, for such evil exist because Israel exist. This same evil does reach for our faith; Christianity. Witness now the atrocities in Nigeria, Sudan, and India. Israel is different, for now they will never be forced from their Biblical homeland, again. Their presence there is a miracle, their strength essential, and to remain a necessity. And so too is the necessity of our faith, our Lord, and what this means for our world. There are many who believe in ‘moral equivalence,’ that really all are the same, just different views, that there is no absolute evil. And that the way to a ‘better world’ is to compromise, concede a little, find accommodation even with the bad. But such appeasers are blind to human history, and yes, evil. They are fools. And worse they enable evil. They spend their time justifying the worse of human rights violations, and finding ways not to confront the worse in humanity. Their so-called better world is a damnable satanic lie.
For there are those who throughout human history have hated the Jews, what God desired to do with His people, and that one day He will judge the “quick and the dead.” Their words are indistinguishable from the Nazis, the ancient pogroms, or the so-called “Supreme Leader” Ali Khamenei. Their goal is death to Israel, and now, we hear death to Christians. We must see who they are. We must look at the pictures. We must see the mutilated rape victims, the decaptitaed babies, and charred remains of families huddled together. This is what evil looks like. This, the worst week for the Jews since the Holocaust and must be seen and understood. This is about never again!
Yes, I know we all want a peaceful world, but the world is far from that! We want to be able to faithfully proclaim the truth of the gospel. Still, much of the world does not permit it. We would love to be able to aid all those in true need, lift to freedom those enslaved, and bring justice to bear against evil, but we’re a long way from being able. But that does not mean we concede the field to evil! Yes, we will have to witness a death dealing war, carnage, and destruction, again. All because there are those that hate the Jews, and they hate us just as much. It’s a waste of time to ask why, they are inspired by something we, as believers, will never fathom.
But, Is this the end? Is the Lord coming soon? The apostasy that is clearly present is fast waning, and becoming a joke. The man of lawlessness is nowhere to be seen, and the restraining force is obviously still in place (see 2 Th.2:3-6). But the pieces are all there. For now we will see Israel again responding to the evil that men can do, but our call remains, we are to “occupy until He comes” (Lk.19:13 KJV). To be about our Master’s business, for as bad as this may get, one day it will be worse. Then our Lord at His appearing with but a word, with the sword of His mouth, He will end all evil, corruption, and degradation. Praise God, for only He can bring about that “better world”!!!
We are to be prepared, watchful, and doing what we’re called to,
